Sigurður Sigurðsson, - Siggi Sig – is one of Iceland´s most successful competitions riders to day and a highly respected horse trainer and renowned to be a very versatile rider. He lives at the farm Þjóðólfshagi in the South of Iceland, close to Hella, where he trains and breeds horses. Siggi has given clinics in Iceland as well as in Europe and the US. His positive attitude makes him a very popular clinician. His triumphs on the track are countless and you can be sure that if Siggi participates in a competition he will finish in the top 5, no matter if it’s a Sport horse competition or a Riding horse competition. Siggi has also presented a large number of breeding horses for evaluations with very good results. At the Masters Competition 2002 at riding club Andvari, which is one of the biggest competition each year here in Iceland Siggi won all 3 major events, both the 4 and 5 gaited competitions and the Tolt competition. At the Landsmot 1998 Siggi won both the 4 gaited competition and the Tolt on the mare Kringla from Kringlumyri that same year he also became the Icelandic Champion in the 5 gaited Sport competition. Siggi has competed at the World Championships for Iceland, is an Icelandic Champion and a certified horse trainer.
