On ICE

In the year 2001 a group called: The Great Icelandic Horse Fair, TGIHF, did a tour to the US. The goal was to introduce the Icelandic horse. In the group were some of Iceland´s most known clinicians, like Eyjoflur Isolfsson, Benedikt Lindal and Reynir Aðalsteinsson. The group did 3 tours to the US, and was the first to introduce horses ridden on ice in ice rinks in the US. TGIHF was a lot of fun, and managed to get many spectators and a lot of publishity. Who knows, maybe TGIHF will one day get together again and do a tour to the US ? Here below are some photos and videos from our adventures. Among the things the group did , was to be apart of a study of the gait; tölt, at the Michigan State University - some photos are from the experiment.
